UPCYCLE: TO REUSE (DISCARDED GARMENTS OR MATERIALS) IN SUCH A WAY AS TO CREATE A PRODUCT OF HIGHER QUALITY OR VALUE THAN THE ORIGINAL.
RETURE’s mission is to make upcycling the most desirable choice for modern-day fashion consumption.
Therefore, everything we do at RETURE is based on 3 objectives:
1. To preserve human craft in the digital age. We support the ambitions of both established and emerging designers by giving them the platform to directly sell and/or repurpose upcycled fashion to a global audience.
2. To extend the life of garments. We keep garments out of landfill, where clients can either shop upcycled fashion or upcycle their own garments directly with a designer through our bespoke service.
3. To rediscover local communities. We help you discover creative talents in your area, strengthening local relationships.
What we do
RETURE is the world’s first upcycling marketplace for premium fashion. The digital platform offers an online shop, where you can buy upcycled garments or accessories and a bespoke upcycling service, giving garments you already own a new lease on life.
RETURE celebrates collaboration, creative freedom and the globally recognised talent of our designers, where each garment upcycled holds a meaningful story, exceptional craft and will remain part of your journey, wherever life may take you.
Supporting Fashion’s Next Generation
RETURE was founded upon the purpose to preserve craft in the digital age, which is why we support the ambitions of both established and emerging designers to develop their businesses and further positive change. We see upcycling not only as a solution to keep our clothing out of landfills, but as a genuine expression of a designer’s creativity and ingenuity, celebrating individual style. When you choose to upcycle with a designer on RETURE, you choose to directly support the skills and talent of another human being without creating additional waste.
We believe fashion is a catalyst for good – for people and planet.
